I have this active bass and I got it out of storage on Friday. I replaced the battery. I put it straight to amp through two or three different cables and it buzzes on all strings when played - worse on lower strings

does the same if sent straight to a zoom b2.1u and headphones

Is the preamp burned out somehow, I’m wondering, and what would I replace it with ?

Addendum - when played acoustically is very clear so not a badly cut nut, poor string winding on peg, high fret etc

Yeah,  could be a wire off grounding the bridge or the socket,  or pickup.

Possibly - it’s been sitting in a gig bag in the cupboard so it’s not like it’s had trauma

I’ll open it up tonight and have a look plugged in so I’ll know if it clears
