ezbass Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012
I think they must mean that its marginally cheaper than all 3 of those basses put together?
Only if you go for the full blown US versions though. Go MIM and SBMM and you get all 3 and change. I played on of these awhile back, the pickup is pretty amazing and does permit the rare PP combo, but I found the necks not at all to my liking. They certainly are a challenge looks wise, a wooden cover would certainly soften the look. Quote
ezbass Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Having read all the parts that appealed to me I must say that I found it a rather good edition. The interviews with people I hadn't heard of before proved most interesting, and despite the massively high cost of most of the reviews they did make great reading. I was particularly taken with the considerably cheaper Fret King 5 string though (still looking for the quoted 3 way toggle, a poor reviewing error) although the Avenger P was also interesting, but at that money a non starter for me.
