Leonard Smalls Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 Can't imagine our local church doing this! 3 2 Quote
Hellzero Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 Love the carillon cover : excellent. The harp one shows that Lemmy was a real good songwriter and it's an interesting cover too. The Compressorhead cover is so bland and emotionless... 1 Quote
SteveXFR Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 The Ace Of Spades is one song which is best left alone. No one could ever match the original. Lemmy's vocals and bass were just perfect for the song. Quote
Bobthedog Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 Loving the first one. Refreshing to see someone doing something alternative and unexpected. Quote
Stub Mandrel Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 There's a local band who dress as clowns and do Ace of Spades in a Ska style. 1 Quote
Muzz Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 That sounds more like a cry for help than an actual cover... 😕🙂 1 Quote

Our local punk band, Far Cue do a pretty decent cover. Last time I saw them play it the drummer/singer was wearing hot pants and a boob tube with "stop looking at my tits" written on it. You may think she can wear what she wants but it's a bloke in his mid 50's 1 Quote
Cato Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 That may be the first time I've heard church bells that weren’t jarringly out of tune with each other. Quote
Nail Soup Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 Basically a straight cover, but good fun, and much better than I expected. I found this on youtube a few days ago - Vice Squad, who are a bit more metal these days it seems. The drummer certainly seems to be enjoying herself. Quote

They played our local punk festival a couple years ago and were excellent. Best band of the night. 1 Quote

Carillon bells are always fine tuned, as they are intended to play music, which is absolutely not the case with church bells as they are only intended to announce hours, events and ceremonies... So no need to be tuned to make noise. 1 Quote
Graham56 Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 A cover? Well, there's always this one... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjkzbCkZEuQ Quote
Nail Soup Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 Here's Lemmy/Motorheads own acoustic version, recorded for a beer advert a few years back. The ad itself had video of the performance too - IIRC. 2 Quote

Waddo Soqable Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 Lemmy and the string quartet was a KitKat ad it turns out ! Quote
Waddo Soqable Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 This is a nice tribute to him in a foreign ad.. (wandering away from ace of spades a bit tho ) Quote
