Stub Mandrel
I'm needing a decent bag to take all my bits and pieces. Any recommendations for something that will take leads, mike stand, bass stand (so at least 1m long) ideally with a reinforced compartment for other gear such as a mic, tuner etc. A standard 'lighting bag' doesn't have separate storage, but I wondered about something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Organizer-Backpack-Waterproof-Capacity-Boyfriend/dp/B08P4PS1B1/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=1m+rod+case&qid=1628845495&s=sports&sr=1-6 "There is a thick sponge inside the fishing rod bag, which can protect the fishing rod and reel from damage caused by impact. stewblack
You won't beat that for the money Stubsy. Got me looking at fishing bags now! Mic stands and speaker stands and bass stands are a pain to carry, so that looks cool.
DiMarco
I've been using a laptop trolley for the bits & pieces and the backup amp for years now. Maybe an idea... I toss the mic stands straight into the car. They don't need protection. Edited August 14, 2021 by DiMarco

But it isn't black... 🙂 For £18 I've ordered one to see how it turns out.
Conor&Bass
I'm looking for something to let me backpack a load of leads, mini bass stand, mic stand, small head and a small-ish pedal setup - then I'll have one hand for bass case and one hand for 210 cab - so I can live the "in in one" dream. That fishing rod bag looks interesting. How did it work out for you? Cheers!

I thinned my rig quite a lot, but I'm sorting a PA, so it will be useful for carting around 4 or 5 mike stands, plus some accessories. Latest purchase was a big wheeled box from a local bargain store, 'Buyology'. Big, with good handles moulded into the box (so they can't fail) and a sturdy lid. Pretty much all my leads, mikes and accessories will fit in it.
krispn
Bit off topic but I’ve been looking at camera bags/backpacks which have the compartments as a gig bag stuff carrier solution… not sure what would accommodate a mic stand too but fishing gear is a good start. tauzero
I was looking at fishing gear for carrying a few flat LED "PAR cans".
