BassAdder60
Following on from my post about needing less mids using a pick. ivd noticed different tones using Delrin, nylon and toretex Anyone else seen this change in tone
Lozz196
Definitely, I use Dunlop picks and the difference in sound between their Tortex and Ultex picks is easy to hear, with the Ultex giving a more scooped/studio type sound with sharper highs and tighter lows. PaulThePlug
I got some leather pics... nice tone on the acoustic with flats... I also have some wooden pics... Other than the above it's the JD Jazz III in nylon... a softer sound, not as harsh, scratchy or edgy as tortex... BassAdder60
I’m liking the Dunlop Ultex 1.0mm 👍
Jonesy
I just picked up some Ernie Ball Everlasts and I like em. They're a bit like the Dunlop tortex, but more matt in their texture, so I prefer the grip. I also really like the Clayton Metallics copper and Dunlop Teckpick brass picks too, they sound really aggy.......but unfortunately leave your bass covered in bits of metal 😂
