TheGreek
I love the sound of a harp - this is just sacrilege

Mykesbass
That's great. Has she used it in any work outside of the demo?

Would trying to use that in a live situation make feedback a huge problem? But could record great music for making an entrance onto a smoke-filled stage. Rich
It reminds me of the old saying, "just because you can doesn't mean you should" I'll stick with Amy Turk for my harp listening, I think. Just think how much better the history of music would have been if every outbreak of experimental curiosity had been more thoroughly stamped out
Rich
Apologies, I forgot to add the little LOL face to show that I'm not actually serious.

Loads of ways it could be used, but yes, live could be interesting for the sound person!
revd
Loved the video and thought the harp sounded spectacular.
Woodwind
This is great, thanks for posting. I've been a big fan of the experimental harp playing of Rhodri Davies for a long time and he opened my ears up to sound palettes usng the instrument beyond its normal usage.
Owen
Harpists spend 95% of their time tuning and 5% of their time playing out of tune. What is the difference between a Harp and a Harley Davidson? They are both associated with Angels, but you can tune a Harley. I am married to a harpist and gig with another one, so am licensed to tell harp jokes. They think I am hilarious.
Woodwind
OK own up, who was it? Who reported the harp+distortion pedal video and got it taken down by YouTube?🤣 I kid you not, the video got flagged for unsuitable content. It's back now, but Emily is rightfully a little miffed. 1
SteveXFR
A ridiculous idea but dang it sounds amazing. There is definitely a place for harp in doom metal.

Waddo Soqable
We tried a similar kind of thing, guitar fx pedals with a simple single manual harpsichord many years ago, which was quite interesting, we went on to mess about with the "prepared piano" thing with it too, putting various things in, on and around the strings..
StickyDBRmf
I think it's great. But I was putting a Big Muff Pi on bowed cymbals in the 80's. (and everything else)

SteveXFR
How in the name of Satan's derrière crack does that violate a child safety policy?

StickyDBRmf
A child might be attracted to the sound and fall into the strings.
Graham
I Saw this the other day before it got taken down, I'd love to hear her collaborate with Bell Witch, who are 2 piece drums & 7 string bass/vocals doom band
