What's up with the neck on this?

mmmm - The logo has been put on with little regard to what a real one should look like, but I'm not sure whether the headstock shape looks off or not, It looks like a genuine neck but has the headstock been reshaped or am I imagining it?

 

Love the way the strings could take someone's eye out when you swing it about.

I’ve been in touch with the seller, they couldn’t tell me what had happened but it’s definitely had the decal removed and this homemade replacement. I wondered if it was a Musicmaster neck in place of a duff Mustang neck. The scratchplate is also homemade. The headstock does look like it’s been sanded down and reshaped slightly.

I wonder whether any horrors reside beneath the pickguard - like an oversized chiseled-out hole for a precision pickup or worse?

My eyes are going out of kilter!

At least on the photo, so it might be down to the angle of the shot, it looks like a 34" neck in a shorter scale body.. it's noticeably shorter from bridge to 12th fret than 12th to nut.

It sold for just over a grand however the seller sent me a message offering me it for £900 as the seller let him down. I will politely decline.
