Filtertron pickups - tell me about please

I am curious about this type of pickup, want to know what they are typically like in terms of tone, output, DC resistance etc.

 

Have seen a Roswell Filtertron and is a nice price but I saw it is only wound to 4k dcr but I did notice it has 2 rows of pole pieces so I was thinking maybe it was wound to a low resistance for brightness and then the output was boosted with the 2 rows of pole pieces? If so it could be an interesting tone

 

Anyone use a bass with Filtertrons?
