3below Posted August 29, 2021 Share Posted August 29, 2021 (edited) Many years ago (late 70s / early 80s) I had a John Birch SG bass with the strap button in the same place that you are thinking about, it was a neck diver 'par excellence'. Fitting Hipshots to my current Gibson SG bass sorted the neck dive issue, money well spent. You can always put the Grovers back on if you ever move it on and sell the Hipshots afterwards.
