peted Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I use the metronome in my Tascam Bass Trainer (BT1). It's pretty simple, but you can choose to accent the first beat, the number of beats in a bar, and the tempo. Quote
Thunderthumbs Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I've used Audacity to create click tracks as varying BPMs, exported them as MP3s and then put them in a "click tracks" playlist on my iPod. That way, I can create the MP3s with as few or as many bars as I want, and all with existing software and accessories....so no cash for specific gizmos and gadgets. Quote

I'd be a bit lost without it. Quote
Mottlefeeder Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 If you are not a fan of bleep type clicks, this Sabine model does a pretty good woodblock clonk sound. http://www.sabine.com/sabine-music-accessories/mt-9000.htm Quote
bassbloke Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 The Pandora is indeed a fantastic little device. I own a PX3B for bass practice and PX4D for mainly guitar and some bass. I've owed the PX3B for around 10 years now and use it every day. Well worth checking the classifieds and ebay for one. Quote
Bass-ic Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Eh? how hard can it be to count 1-2-3-4 in a consistent and rhythmic way? (Drummers excluded..and I know this 'cos my brother is one). I learnt how to do it at music school. Quote

Before the beat, on the beat, or after the beat. Counting beats aint the problem, its where you place then. Garry Quote
51m0n Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 My two penneth. I have the Korg metronome mentioned earlier and on mine at least the output to the headphones is unaffected by the volume control and stupidly loud. Dont get it for in ear stuff it dont work right! I find a nice hand clap sound far better/less painful than a woodblock or (urrrgh) a blip. Quote
