jd56hawk Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 (edited) Not sure, but I'm guessing this one sat in the store for six years...maybe lost in the attic or a back room...because it's essentially a new bass. Protective film is still on the pickguard and the control plate. I doubt anyone's even touched the strings...they felt and sounded new. Had to change them, though. Five of my basses have GHL black tapewounds, but I had a set of D'Addarios lying around collecting dust, so I went with them. Edited September 9, 2021 by jd56hawk 9 Quote
SurroundedByManatees Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 I can't see a reason why to spank this little Squier. Looks like a very decent CV jazz👌 1 Quote
Grahambythesea Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 Looks great, hope the price was really good too! 1 Quote
TheGreek Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 Nice bass - I'm also glued to black tapewounds currently. Best tone from any strings I've ever used. Warwick and Rotosound doing sets for around £30 1 Quote
barrycreed Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 Is this one of the contemporary Squiers? 1 Quote
such Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 It's a Classic Vibe from a few years ago 1 Quote
jd56hawk Posted September 9, 2021 Author Posted September 9, 2021 (edited) 2015 Classic Vibe. Even with the black tapewounds, it still has that unmistakable Jazz growl. I'm very impressed. Two hundred dollars more than when they first came out, but worth every penny. Edited September 9, 2021 by jd56hawk Quote
