Royal Hunt bass sound

Hey guys,

The bass player from Royal Hunt has a very distinctive sound. Any ideas how to achieve it? It can be heard clearly at 4:06. He has this sound on pretty much all their songs, regardless of which bass he uses.

Sounds to me like a pretty generic Darkglass or Sansamp gritty tone with a pick and some fret buzz from low action...

Helps to have basses like Warwicks too. I had a Spector and you could get this very powerful clank from it. The pick ups and sound pump make such a difference.
