LukeFRC
You know - if I were comparing South Korean fender shaped basses it would be interesting to know how Bass Collection and the Ashdown/Lakin ones compare.

I've owned a Bass Collection, and while they're good for the money, the MV's are a significant step-up. Fit and finish, hardware, neck spec and finish etc. I think I've got an Ashdown Arc bass coming to me for a test/trial in the next couple of weeks, so I'll comment on that at some point too. such
Yeah I always liked Ashdown, used their amps more than others, still have two (ABM+410 & a 15" combo) plus happily use more at rehearsal rooms. Got wonderful Customer Support from them too when I needed. Met Mark G. at the Goodwill Festival and had a super lovely chat. And I've never seen those basses with my own eyes, but honestly on the photos they look like a less refined and somewhat unfinished slab version of my Vintage V4 (which I love, btw).
