Sunburst - Yay or Nay

I'd never thought about this before but on reflection most of my non Fenders are natural finishes and the vast majority of my Fenders are sunbursts with tort. 3TSB, tort and dark, dark rosewood is my favourite.

I don't seek out sunburst but nor is it a deal breaker.

Must admit, I'm not a fan of the old Sunburst. Or any Sunburst for that matter.

I would trade my BB's tasteful tobacco sunburst for some kind of red metallic in a shot. The dark redburst of my TRBX was much nicer to look at.

I like a burst that's done well, with a nice colour fade from natural to black. I hate the kind that's just yellow with a red ring and a black outer ring, like 70s Fender target bursts. These days I prefer solid finishes or bare exotic woods though.
