Sparky Mark Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 I'd never thought about this before but on reflection most of my non Fenders are natural finishes and the vast majority of my Fenders are sunbursts with tort. 3TSB, tort and dark, dark rosewood is my favourite. 3 Quote
bootleg Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 An emphatic yay. What's not to like? 3 Quote
Reggaebass Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 (edited) This was my one, really nice bass but I was playing my precision’s more at the time Edited September 23, 2021 by Reggaebass 3 Quote
EssentialTension Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 I don't seek out sunburst but nor is it a deal breaker. Quote
Skybone Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 Must admit, I'm not a fan of the old Sunburst. Or any Sunburst for that matter. Quote
Guest Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 I would trade my BB's tasteful tobacco sunburst for some kind of red metallic in a shot. The dark redburst of my TRBX was much nicer to look at. Quote
LeftyJ Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 I like a burst that's done well, with a nice colour fade from natural to black. I hate the kind that's just yellow with a red ring and a black outer ring, like 70s Fender target bursts. These days I prefer solid finishes or bare exotic woods though. Quote
