Indeed, if Fender had used their wits they would have registered it back in the early 80s to stop Warwick ripping it off.

Twin humbuckers instead of one IIRC.
PaulThePlug
I had a Fender Katana Guitar... From memory there wre 2 models a Squier cheaper one with a std strat trem and single humbucker and a more expensive Fender model that i had withTwin Humbuckers, TBX Tone, Locking Trem, Impossible to play sittimg down... Odd thing with it, well two of the odd things... Fender, but fixed neck, and 24 3/4" scale length, so quite Gibson-esq... I feel quite sick seeing what they go for now, knowing what i sold it for 20ish years ago. Same goes for my old original Jap Squier '57 Strat in Salmon Pink with Mapel fretboard 30 odd years ago... That doesn’t tend to stop people pinching a name though does it?
jd56hawk
I didn't like the Katana bass in the '80s, but they look a little better without the oddly shaped pickguard. Edited September 19, 2021 by jd56hawk

Rich
I live in hope of a Performer reissue. Having played Stub's yesterday, I am more hooked than ever. 5

Would they have to call it the Vintera Performer? 🤯
