Guest
The five minute video says absolutely nothing beyond the brief specs. Which means I didn't learn what the two mini switches do. Coil splitting? Series / parallel? đ¤ˇđťââď¸Â And is that fretboard really rosewood?
Sibob
Good price, but thatâs par for the course with far-eastern made instruments nowadays. Not sure youâre getting much more than what youâd get from Sire or the like. Â Si
danbowskill
I know its a sire par etc... But very cool looking imo... No just a fender style

Guest
ÂŁ500 for a Chinese made bass sold online out of Indonesia .... quite expensive given how little peace of mind comes with the deal.

Bassassin
I like the look of that, it's not the banal P or J clone I expected. Â However the dumb let's-pretend-a-bass-is-a-Telecaster control setup, which allows no scope for blending the pickups, makes it a nope. Guest
This video gives the impression that the two mini switches are separate series/single/parallel controls for the two pickups.
Bassassin
Would be easy enough to build as a bitsa - bit of extra pickup routing on a J body, cut a Tele Thinline-ish scratchplate then whatever neck/hardware/control layout you wanted. Â Reminds me a bit of the Aria Avante Steve Bailey sig. Â

Happy Jack
Don't you just LOVE this piece of weapons-grade marketing BS?  INSPIRED BY CUSTOM SHOP QUALITY HAND MADE GUITARS AND BASSES  In exactly the same way, my life is inspired by the lives of Julius Caesar and Errol Flynn. đ

Of course, the proof will be in actually being able to play it - are the electronics good enough as I assume itâs passive like the RB? Fortunately it's fairly hard to screw-up passive electrics. It's cheap, nasty active EQs that are a real issue on budget basses. My concern about this bass is that the pickups wouldn't come close the the RB's items (weren't they a Bill Lawrence design?) I'd love a "proper" RB. Preferably a five. But finding one AND having the requisite funds at the same time...
