Guest Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 That made me think of Bananarama's Venus, and this is not a complaint Quote
Bunion Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Always liked this cover, I know they’re all from a music academy and it’s a few years old but it was an ambitious cover they nailed. I bet that drummer is a beast now Quote
Nail Soup Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 The Fall never released a cover for the first 8 years of their existence (77-85)- then they did Gene Vincent's Rollin' Dany. After that covers become a staple part of the output. Quote
Dankology Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 (edited) The version of Lost in Music on 27 Points is a thing of wonder - so much better than it should be... Edited September 18, 2021 by Dankology 1 Quote
NancyJohnson Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 I deplore this holier than thou attitude towards MP3. Original LP, snap, crackle, pop, get up every 20 minutes to turn it over. What about albums that never actually got a vinyl release? It's all about convenience and delivery; despite ripping all my audio to FLAC, a decently encoded 320kbps MP3 is anywhere near the quality of the 64/128kbps derivative it was 20 years ago and is indistinguishable from the FLAC. 1 Quote

I have to say I agree with you on this. The way music is consumed today very few people could actually tell the difference. Que the audiophiles to rip me apart 📻 Quote

You’ve missed the best bit about vinyl… waking up next morning with a hangover… on top of the bed… fully clothed plus muddy boots… headphones on and hearing the continuous zzzzd-tish at the end of the record, been doing that all night after you passed out. Them were’t days… 1 Quote
