5 string flats.. wotha tapered b string.

Hi guy's, Looking for some help and advice on buying a decent set of medium tension 5 string flats, that also have a tapered b string? Thanks

I have Cobalts on my 5, which I like a lot (I like them so much, I've switched to them on my 4). Don't know whether the B is tapered, but it isn't like a barge rope, so it's nice to play and fits the nut slot properly. Not the cheapest, but last well and a little brighter (but not harsh/spiky) than many flats.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a tapered B flat.

What does the taper do for the tone? How does it change the sound?

i'm pretty sure that the B on my new 5 string is tapered, I believe they're La bella flats, I will double check this evening. the only caveat is that it is a short scale so the long scale strings may be different.
