Just make sure they are the same input rating (some pedals are 18V most are 9 I think) and also that the power supply has a suitable output rating. Most would be more than fine for just the 2 pedals though.

oddjob
does anyone know of any 2 chain daisy chains for just powering 2 pedals? i find that with my 5-6 pedal chain when i only want to power 2 pedals it's a pain to keep the unused links apart so they don't touch each other and short out. cheddatom
blue tack or insulation tape would stop your problem. I think there's the product you're after though, just google "two girls one cup".

I put rubber tubing over the tips that I don't use as I'm always messing about with the amount of pedals in my chain; take the lead to a hardware store and try to find the right diameter, then just chop off little pieces that you need. escholl
i find regular heatshrink tubing works perfect for insulating the ends, stays on and doesn't leave a sticky mess like tape does when you remove it.

BassMunkee
You can get a powerblock from Maplin for a very reasonable price.
