We all know what an earworm is. A song you hear and can't get out of your head all day. But does anyone else get dreamworms, where you actually wake up with a song in your head that you haven't heard in years? I suspect it's some sort of nighttime re-filing that the brain does while we're sleeping.

I do it quite often. This is today's little gem. A song I haven't heard or thought about in a very long time, and I'd totally forgotten even existed.

What an absolute banger!

Used to play this in my band. According to a few years of market research, you sir, are the only person outside that covers band and the Spin Doctors who knows this song!

Mrs skb558 liked the odd Spin Doctors tune.

“Abracadabra, I wanna reach out and grab ya, Steve Miller Band ooh Spin Doctors, very similar”

Nah, the Spin Doctors are frigging awesome. They're still one of my favourite bands. And Mark White has a ridiculous good slap technique.

I get this all the time usually a song or tune that I don’t like that was on in the background or something ridiculous like an advert.

Not only tunes I've heard but sometimes I get riffs I don't think actually exist yet going on in my mind's ear. By the time I wake up enough crawl out of my pit, it's gone.

Didn't say it wasn't a good song, just that it's not a well known one.

I get it when I’m walking and a tune will start in my head at the pace I’m walking. Then I have to keep walking at that pace, otherwise it spoils the song. It’s a nightmare in crowded streets when some Ramones tune appears out of the blue 💨
