Linus27
As we know, a lot of manufactures make signature basses, some decent and some not so. Which basses from various artists did or do you like? I'll start with the following, Adam Clayton's beaten up sunburst Fender Precision. Sting's natural Fender Precision with maple fretless neck. John Giblin's natural Musicman Stingray. Pino Paladino's Musicman Stingray fretless. Sting's Ibanez Musician. Stuart Zender's Warwick Streamer. Jaco Pastorius sunburst Fender Jazz.
neepheid
Jack Casady and his Epiphone signature bass. But you knew I'd say that
Lozz196
Both JJ Burnell & Bruce Foxton played black/black/maple Precisions. Nothing out of the ordinary so no need for pics but they made a big impression on me.

martthebass
Mick Karn and his Wal Fretless John Taylor and his Aria SB1000 Chris Wolstenholme and his Status S2 (I would say that)....
OliverBlackman
I wanted a Jaco signature fretless but preferred the refurbed bass of doom. I was looking at the Fender Artist series and realised I could get an Overwater for not much more. It’s closer to my preferences than the bass of doom, but it’s been inspired by it.
SteveXFR
I've always been a fan of Faith No More and Billy Goulds bass is a big part of their sound so I'd love to have his signature Zon
SteveXFR
Mostly for the sound of impending apocalypse, I'd like the Jeff Matz signature Dunable Jeff is a great bassist, I'm a big fan of High On Fire

SteveXFR
17 minutes ago, Rich said: JPJ's 10-string Manson. He played that 10 string when I saw him with Them Crooked Vultures. I'm fairly sure he had a different weird and unusual bass for every song
pst62
Pete Way's 1976 Bicentennial Thunderbird. I asked him what became of it, his reply was "I don't know, I used to lose basses all the time."

NJE
I am currently loving everything Lee Sklar. His two basses seem like they could cover everything. So shocked Fender haven’t jumped on the band wagon with his precision, and this Dingwall shape in a solid colour is incredible.

gjones
McCartney's Yamaha back in the 80s. I saw him with one and went straight out and bought one. Then he went back to his Hofner and has stayed with it ever since.
