mybass Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I've been using the old TU tuners for years but fancy the other stomp pedal/inline one that guitarists use more often. Are they okay for bass guitar, mainly 4 stringers? Anyone have an unwanted one? Thanks Quote
xilddx Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 I use a TU-2. Never let me down yet. Very accurate. Quote

~tl Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Never had a problem with my TU-2 on either 4 or 5-string bass. But I also hear very good things about the Korg Pitchblack, so that might be worth consideration too: http://www.korg.com/Product.aspx?pd=295 Quote
Ou7shined Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I found the TU-2 to be a bit twitchy (especially on stage - a boffin told me it might be due to electromagnetic noise ???) and replaced it with my Korg DT-10. No more twitchy. Quote
dougal Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Add another happy TU-2 user to the list. My only complaint is that one I had (for years, sustained heavy abuse) started sounding like a boiling kettle one day when it was in-line. Easy enough to relocate to the tuner out on the head though. Quote

mybass Posted April 4, 2009 Author Posted April 4, 2009 Thanks all again. A fountain of knowledge! Never heard of but will look at the new Korg Black one and I'm also hearing about Digitechs "Hardwire" HT tuner. They ALL say the same thing, "tru bypass, doesn't affect the tone etc" and there are negs about them all too. Looks like a trip to Andertons music in Guildford is in the frame. Quote
