BassAdder60
My HB wireless system arrived today from Thomann I went for the Airborne Pro 5.8ghz version Foot tuner built in which works well Granted its not the most robust design but if you look after your gear this would work and last just fine Great design and ability to charge the transmitter in the docking place is a well thought out idea Edited October 2, 2021 by BassAdder27
Newfoundfreedom
Yup. Had mine a few months now and it works flawlessly.
BassAdder60
Ok great as it is I think I will stick with trusty cable “ old school “ Ive decided to sell it instead of sending it back to Thomann. Tuner works very well I hasten to add ! It’s now on EBay for £85.00 shipped, a few quid loss to scratch an itch ! Mudpup
What didn't you like? The whole wireless experience or was it that particular device? Edited October 2, 2021 by Mudpup
BassAdder60
Just don’t like the wireless experience The HB is a great bit of kit for sure but I guess I’ve used a cable for so long now it felt odd without ! I had to use a cable at the last gig after about 10 years of wireless and it felt very strange!

BassAdder60
Maybe I will keep it and see how I feel after using it more Do find the transmitter a bit “ where should I park it” so it doesn’t flap about .. anyone using it on a PBass ? Where do you park yours ?
Newfoundfreedom
My Jack socket is on the edge of the bass, so the wireless dongle folds up to the edge of the body and is barely noticeable.
BassAdder60
Yep my other bass Yamaha is the same. I will keep trying it and make a decision after using it more
Woodinblack
I am the same with that - I can't stand using a cable, it feels too odd, its in the way etc. I would be very reluctant to go back to a cable it has to be said! Why not send it back to thomman if you don't want it?

Why not send it back to thomman if you don't want it? I had already removed the screen plastic protector so not able to return. Going to keep it I’ve decided and see how it performs when I next gig Edited October 3, 2021 by BassAdder27
Maude
What is the battery life like on these? I know you can recharge between sets, but that's only a fifteen minute top up. Will it happily do three hours in one hit? Edited October 3, 2021 by Maude
Maude
Re the transmitter dongle. How about making a clip to clip it to your strap and using a very short cable, like the old school wireless' used to do?

We regularly rehearse for 3 hours plus, and I've never managed to run it flat. So I've got no reason to believe this isn't true.

Yep that could be done with an in-line Jack connector and short lead and a strap holster of sorts

Christmas is approaching and the usual "What do you want?" will be being asked. This could be a candidate.

If it ever annoys me sticking out of the bass, it's easy enough to make a little pouch to fix to the strap, and a short m/f Jack lead.

I rehearse with a wireless setup too - I'm just not happy being 'tethered' to anything!!!
