Taken in Trade against my Tune.

Ā

Its absolutely lovely as these old BBā€™s are, effectively a P bass but with a reversed P.

I want to keep it as a flats thumper, but in all honesty, the need isnā€™t there as I donā€™t play anything requiring it.

Ā

I have a bb350 too which is the same bass with an added J, so I canā€™t even make the excuse that itā€™s a sound I havenā€™t got covered.

Ā

ā€Mā€ prefix serial number is 1986.

Ā

Neck is a beauty, like a slim ish flattened P bass neck. Birdseye grain throughout.

Ā

Black finish shows a little swirling, but to be fair - itā€™s in great condition for 35 years of age. Knock on eachĀ side and one at the bridge - a bit of a buckle mark on the back, but not gouged.

Ā

Machineheads are modern 424/1024 units. I donā€™t have the original tulips - how I got it, and in fairness I know the originals are a bit of a joke (and heavy as hell).

Ā

weight - scales battery has died, feels solid - 10lbs is my estimate (I know my 414 is 9lbs dead).

Ā

Shipping can happen at your cost and risk.

Ā

I have no spare cases or bags so would be a bubble wrap job in a box.

Ā

Collection from me in sunny Manchester is fine too.

Ā

Offers are welcome (sensible ones) - not really after trades of any sort, but Iā€™m susceptible to themā€¦an at risk gear monkey.

I had one of these some years ago, and it was fabulous playing /sounding bass!

Ā

Punched way above it's weight, like all the Yamaha BB range basses do...Ā

GLWTS

Same šŸ˜‚ Iā€™m from 1986 too, this has nothing on my dodgy knees and rapidly expanding bald patch!

Ā

Iā€™d love to take this for the (slightly cringe) YOB thing, whack on some very heavy flats and permanently wedge a chunky bit of foam under them.Ā
Iā€™d say ā€œIā€™ll be back when mine sellsā€, but this will be long gone by then!
