Something
Hi folks, I thought I could post some covers we made with my ex-band. The name of the band was "Taxman" (in tribute of the Beatles's song) and we made covers especially of the fab four and some standards of Stax and Motown... Here are two tunes we've recorded last years. Neither flashy playing nor slap and tap or other kind of techniques very groovy but only songs I like... From me to you : http://perso.orange.fr/taxman/audio/from_me_to_you.mp3 Chain of fools : http://perso.orange.fr/taxman/audio/chain_of_fools.mp3 All had been recorded with my Lakie 55-02. Settings are the same on the both tunes. Blend Pick-up at 12h Coil selector on both pick-up Bass at 2 h Mid at 10 h Treble at 3 h I hope you'll enjoy that... Something
Glad you liked it ! Here's another Beatles cover. Drive my car : http://media.putfile.com/03-Piste-3-24-72 I tried to get a kind of P-sound, I added a bit of multidrive... Enjoy ! Oxblood
Those first two tracks (couldn't download the last one without getting a plug-in I don't want) are truly excellent, both in the performance and the recording/production sound. "From Me To You": I'd take issue with the vocal harmonies, which stray unnecessarily from the Fab Four's original tune in a way that doesn't improve the song, but apart from that it's a winner. "Chain Of Fools": Spot on, especially the vocals. All in all, a seriously tight, together band that knew what it was doing!

paul, the
Loving the stereo guitar on chain of fools! You have a great pro tone also, something that seems very easy to rely on with that range of Laklands.

lushuk
I could not get the last one to work, shame that, shame its your x band I guess you must have been fairly popular! McCartney played some wicked bass lines but never seems to get much of a mention is he underrated do you think? or is he just not as good as I thought? bear in mind im a novice player lol. Sean
Drive My Car is great too - bass sound on this is the best of the lot for me. Lakkies really are superb tools for the job.
