Phil Starr Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Oh no, that is such a loss. Some people stick in your mind for their decency and zest for life. What a lovely man. Quote
Chienmortbb Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 (edited) Very sad. Looking back at the bash group photo, it’s nice to see that our last recorded memory was of him smiling- Edited February 27, 2023 by Chienmortbb 1 Quote

Rich Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 Dreadful news. This year's bash will be the lesser for his absence. I now bitterly regret missing last year's. If only I'd known. Any news on a virtual condolence card? Quote

Frank Blank Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 Damn this sucks. I only met Norm once, at the 2019 Bash, where we chatted very briefly about a one of those crazy little Jabba basses. We only exchanged a couple of sentences but, in much the same way you can tell from just a few utterances that I'm an uncultured hooligan, you could easily discern that Norm was that rarest of things, an a actual gentleman, proper lovely with it. Damn... 1 Quote

Woodinblack Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 Yeh - from my photos he seems to have started that in 2014 and its just been a bit longer each year Quote
scrumpymike Posted March 1, 2023 Author Posted March 1, 2023 Just to let you all know that I have sent all your messages from both threads on the forum over to Sue, and she was very touched by them all. As she replied "These are such beautiful messages. Thank you xxxx" "Simon was a true gent. He loved the Bass Bash. Even last year when we were both caring for his dad I made a point that Simon had to go along to the Bass Bash. The Bass Bash was proper Soul food for Simon .- and he was never one to neglect a buffet. xx" Take care everyone Mrs Scrumpy 8 1 Quote
