What amp is it? I repair amps, my business is Hurst Batch Services based in Wells and I'll be at the bash. Sadly, some modern amps are not repairable by independent repairers due to method of construction and lack of manufacturer support.

If it is the power section and based upon ICEPower modules, I have a couple I could let you have for a small fee. I agree with @basstoneit is a shame that some companies do not support third party service. I should add that most of the British based amp makers are good.

I might be interested in your ICEpower modules, especially if they are 125ASX2.

As @Chienmortbbsays, the new cabs are a further development of the original design I published on Basschat. To say 'thanks' to bass players like @basstonewho bought the kits, I'll be make the components (horn and crossover) available at cost to upgrade the technical performance of the BCIII. The upgrade will require a very small amount of jigsawing and the use of a screwdriver, but that's it. For obvious reasons (i.e. this is now a commercial design), I can only supply these components to Basschat members who bought the kit.

I'll make an announcement on the Diary thread next week.

See you all on Sunday!

Dumb question: what time can we arrive?

I've read through the thread but can't see it anywhere. Apologies if it's on every page and I can't see for looking!

Traditionally it is like the old apple phone events where oyu just bring a tent and a chair and camp out overnight to be one of the first in and get high fived by the staff.

Failing that, you can just turn up at any time between 10:00 and 16:00 and walk in :)

And the prize goes to Woody for correctly answering that proceedings start at 10am. Mind you, we'll be there from around 8.30 and the doors will be open, but beware! If you come in early, you'll be helping us set up. Mind you, you will also get your breakfast 😋

Actually, the more I think about this, the more I like the idea... so let's pretend the start time is 9am 🙂

Seriously though, many hands make light work, so any early arrivals will be very welcome.

Hey Frank, if we play our cards right, we'll be the ones sat with our feet up enjoying breakfast and a natter 😉

Thats great news @stevie,I will also be very interested to hear about your 10" cab developments, especially if there is going to be a compact 1 x 10" in the range.

I'm bringing the prototype of the 10" system to the Bash. So you'll be able to try it out for yourself.

As well as the Ibanez ABG I will be bringing a couple of headless basses, a Hohner B2V (passive 5-string, twin pups, VVT, cricket bat shape with soft case) and a kit built passive 4-string, originally Hohner Jack shaped till I trimmed its wings, twin pups, VVT and with a soft case - both will be for sale.
