I always found the picking pattern between the two high notes and the open A is pretty natural and simple, I never saw what the issue with it was, the only issue with that whole bit is the hand move from the bottom to the top the first time, but once you have done the first one and your hand has remembered where it is, all subsequent ones are not really an issue. Which is handy, as normally in that bit someone decides they want to talk to you for some reason.  Often the singer.

I give it one go - if I get it, that’s fine, if not I just play the riff to Wishing Well with suitable timing*

No-one ever notices.

Well, no-one whose opinion I care about, anyway.

*This is a joke. I don’t really do this.

I play 7 Nation Army.

Well I am the singer so I'm safe there but that doesn't stop drunken punters from talking to you.😉

You do realise that if i'm at any of your gigs i'm gonna stand at the front and continually talk to you. :tatice_03:

I just play roots and 5ths in that. Thats ok isn't it?

I'd stick to roots if I were you, as there's some bloke about to come on stage and ask if you could announce that there's still a few sandwiches left at the buffet, there's a taxi waiting outside for Pam, and can his dad sing Una Paloma Blanca................

I always do, it stops the groupies getting to me 😂

We always heartily welcomed any potential groupies. Probably why I went from one failed relationship to another back in the day.

Now that's one you can play after one listen through... although, there are those times when it doesn't go to D... and those when it does go to D... so no you probably can't. 😬

I nailed 4’33” after just two listens.

What is this 4'33" you talk off. Never heard of it.

Dave

It’s one of those catchy little tunes that just get stuck in your head.

An ear worm I think they’re called…
