hopkinsgm Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Hi there I'm new around here, so figured I'd introduce myself and where better to do it? I've played guitar for knocking on for 20 years now, and used to play a bit of bass too. I've not been getting so much out of it lately, and I've found that I've been picking up on basslines a lot more, so figured, well, maybe it's time for a change. So that's kinda my story, hopefully I'll gain some useful info from the forum and in time will aim to put a little back in to it. In the meantime, don't be surprised if you see me asking dumb questions in the gear forums... Cheers, G Quote
Hamster Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Hello G - welcome to the forums! The search function is a useful tool to get the hang of, but don't worry about asking dumb questions. Asking dumb questions is my speciality, so you're in good company Quote
MacDaddy Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 A friend of mine used to run a music shop. One day a guy came in trying to see what he could get for his bass. The bass had the bridge at the bottom of the body, but there were holes wee bit up the body. When asked what they were for, the guy said he had put some new strings on, but they were longer than the original ones so he had to move the bridge to make them fit Now that's dumb! True story I 5h1t you not. Quote
