It took me a while to join the dots, but I think this is a Warmoth body design.  They were certainly selling this shape a few years back and I'd never seen it anywhere other than their website.

If anyone does pull the trigger, be warned, from memory it had a very quirky scale length, somewhere between short and 34" longscale, so standard necks would require getting the chisels out.

Maybe one for that guy.  🤣

Looks wrong with a headstock. Headless only I say.

Pity you didn't buy it start of the month.

Complete bass sold for £38 , would have made for a very affordable conversion 👍

Givson are a real company, they're in India and I think most of their stuff is sold domestically. A local guitar shop had a couple of their archtop guitars a few years ago; huge bodied and quite crudely made, but also pretty loud and IMO potentially fun instruments.

That would look great airbrushed to look like a Klingon / Orc weapon.

It would look even greater burning in a furnace!

Not sure what the shipping would cost but you can buy them split new in India for £46 👍

The description on the website is priceless.

(When I read it, the voice in my head was that of Apu from The Simpsons and now I feel like I've committed a hate crime...)

From the website "With this beautiful bass guitar, you can cheer yourself on delivering a wide range of tones with perfect vibrations that flows out from its Toon wood body"

many moons ago when I was bumming round india with a backpack I was an extra in a bollywood film, playing a guitarist in a nightclub scene

the guitar I was given to strike my best pete townshend poses with was a Givson - it was like trying to play a cheesegrater.

if memory serves, the other guitar on set was a Fenda, although I didnt get to manhandle that one
