TeresaFR
I bought a new bass which allows for through-body stringing and whilst making the purchase took advantage of a 4-for-3 offer on Rotosound 77s. It's only after receipt I remembered I might need Super-Long scale strings. So, my question is, on a 34" scale bass, can I string through body with just long scale strings? itu
GHS suggests using their long scale plus strings in 35" scale basses as well as if you use a string through body bridge.
TheGreek
I can get away with long strings on everything except the longest string - a D on must of my basses.

I fitted standard RS66s to my BB424 which is string through, and the fit was perfect. Edited October 22, 2021 by Ricky Rioli
TeresaFR
Thanks Ricky, that's helpful. It occurs to me too that with your headstock being 4 on a side it's more of a feat to get your E to fit than for me with my 2 on a side headstock.
