Pedulla Rapture JJ, low output, Bartolini NTBT gain trimpot?

Howdy?

 

As the title says, I love my Rapture's tone but always thought it had low output. Digging online I found some people saying that the Bartolini preamp should come with a trim pot for gain but I can't locate in in mine. Does anyone know if Bartolini made them with and without such trimpot?

 

I suppose I could also swap the NTBT for an Aguilar to sort out the issue, any thoughts on that?

It should have a prewired trimpot. It's not built into the main pre-amp but is a small square pot wired into the main block.

Is it hidden under something?

IIRC, there were two versions of the rapture, one with the full monty Barts and a gain trimmer pot and another one with just an NTBT without any gain adjustment.

 

That said, you can simply raise your pickups to get more gain.
