Mashups.

I thought there was a thread of mashups but I can't seem to find it. 

I've just heard a great Jimmy Page, James Brown, Aerosmith, Run DMC mashup so I'll start a new one. Feel free to add your most awesome mashups, and if the old thread appears we can maybe merge them, or, ahem, do a mashup.

I love Mashups SO much. Those using tracks by bands I usually wouldn’t listen to as well!

 

WaxAudio and Freelance Hellraiser from years back but Bill McClintock is just brilliant, absolutely brilliant!

My favourite mashup on that is probably Destiny's Child with 10cc, but the Salt n Pepa/Stooges one is pretty good too.

I particularly like that Nirvana/Dead or Alive one @Ricky Rioli.

 

@neepheid, in our acoustic band we do a version of 'Ever Fallen in Love' with a funkier feel to it, I always play the synth bassline to 'Push It' in the chorus and no one seems to noticed, but it makes me chuckle. Bizarrely 'Push It' sounds great on doublebass.

 

Here's another favourite of mine, Foreigner/Yazoo, and the dancing is pretty cool too.

As I said in the last thread on mashups the all-time classic is the American Edit album by Dean Gray which is essentially the whole Green Day American Idiot album mashed up with various suitable songs.

we play a great mashup of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath (like this one but better 🙂 )

I went looking for more James Brown mashups, and found one of I Feel Good and Girls Girls Girls – next to JB's singing, Motley Crue seem so leaden and dull

 

(I feel as ashamed of once owning that album almost as much as I do for having spent actual money on the Transvision Vamp album)
