Simple interface

I'm in the market for a simple stereo USB interface, the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen seems like the obvious one, but is there anything else in the same price bracket I should consider?

I’m no techie and I got the solo 3rd gen, and it’s pretty much just plug in and play, before that I used an irig 2 🙂

Julian Krause gets to grips with the figures and after a few different reviews, you can see some of his graphs comparing the benefits of each. I bought my Focusrite Clarett 2Pre before knowing about his reviews, so, I'm pretty pleased to see its a very solid contender, as is the Scarlett Gen 3 models. @Focusrite | Novation gets my thumbs up.

I went to the Focusrite Scarlet after a change of DAW rendered my old interface incompatible.  Worked great straight out of the box, I use it for audio in and have a couple of powered monitors plugged into it.  All good.

Have a look at the Audient iD4 as well, built like a tank, good preamps, same kind of price range.

+1 for the Audient, take a look at the iD14 too if you think you might need more (8) inputs in the future.

I have one of those for my iPad for mobile practice and recording. It's very good!
