Interesting 'burst on a '68 Jazz

The red diminishes with exposure to light over a long period of time. You can see it's still visible on the back.

Yeah, looks like it’s just faded, I’m wondering what was done to the truss rod though ,

Boris Kiraly who worked his magic on the neck by adding new life to the truss rod

Same as mine (the one in the 'Reunited' thread). It's a fairly common occurrence.

Christ, 5000 Euros.  I paid a quarter of that for my '69, although mine had suffered the indignity of a new neck at some point. Even so...
