pintspiller Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 Has anybody ever tried producing music for production libraries like Pond5 or AudioJungle? It seemed like an easy way to make money on the side, but so far I've made less than $5 so far. https://www.pond5.com/artist/belvederesound Quote
Woodwind Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 How does the pricing in Pond5 work? You set your price presumably? Is this regarded as royalty free music, so you exempt yourself from PRS and PPL earnings once the track is in use? 13quid seems very, very cheap for a track. I hadn't heard of Pond5 before so had a quick browse around the site. As a place to sell SFX it seems quite interesting. Quote
pintspiller Posted November 18, 2021 Author Posted November 18, 2021 You can set your own price. The average is $25, but I've mine up for $15 usually. I have Pond5 handle my publishing too just in case they get used on Tv (unlikely as most of the stuff seems to be bought for YouTube videos or corporate presentations by businesses). There used to be a 50/50 split between writer and Pond5 but it's more 60/40. 1 Quote
