Peloquin
I've just hit an old Watson XB50 amp. It sounds sho much better than my tiny 10w practice amp but when I touch any of the controls it crackles quite loudly. Is this normal or should I get it looked at? It only cost me 40 quid so i don't mind a few quid spend on getting it sorted. It's not for giving or anything, just practicing/ learning in the house. Cheers folks. abarson
Scratchy pots are common, and can usually be cleared by adminstering a tiny spritz of Caig Deoxit and then rotating them to clear. If that doesn't solve the issue, you could have a tech check for loose solder joints. Good luck!
Peloquin
Cheers. I'm gonna have a word with my bass teacher on Thursday, see if he knows someone. Tbh it's not too bad as the volume is set and in the house I can't crank it up to much do it'll probably sit where it is.
