Eldon Tyrell
Just saw this one. The finish is called "Metal Flake Clown Vomit Green Finish". Clown vomit? Really? 🥴 Who comes up with such a name and who wants to have a bass with a "clown vomit" finish? Ok, maybe it's a great bass and cheap. So, what's the price you are asking? Well, the price is a whopping £ 3,649. Wow. Well, maybe it sounds amazing and plays well. Never heard of "Blast Cult" but could be good, maybe even very good, not ruling it out, but with a sparkly clown vomit finish? Don't think I will give a try. What about you? https://thebassgallery.com/collections/bass/products/blast-cult-thirty-five 1 1
Bassfinger
At least its an honest description. 2 1
Boodang
Brilliant! Was just thinking the other day how most descriptions are quite boring. At least this gets your attention in more ways than one. Clown vomit... could be a good name for a band! 3
Maude
Blast Cult have long made very nice doublebasses. I love the look of that bass, and I'd be more than happy to declare it's 'Clown Vomit Green'.
mr4stringz
I look forward to seeing this in other finishes - a brown or olive called weaning baby poo; a white called 80s dog crap; a black called no 50 pences for the leccy meter; a red called Burned English man on the Med I mean, the possibilities really are endless. Lozz196
I’d have said Kermit Vomit 1
Gareth Hughes
Should at least be multicoloured to be called Clown Vomit. Maybe it’s one of those ones that changes colour when you look at it from a different angle, possibly revealing some semi-digested popcorn? 2
Eldon Tyrell
Not sure why green finishes are attracting, let's say, "interesting" names. Here's another one: Toxic Venom https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/C4BSlvMtTV--schecter-c-4-bass-silver-mountain-toxic-venom
LukeFRC
you know there's a range of nominal things I've seen people focus on in bass gear - the nominal name given to the colour is a new one. If it helps you spend your £3600 you could call it Glitter finish close to Pantone 7737c?

I am pretty sure there are some better names available than "clown vomit" or "Glitter finish close to Pantone 7737c" 😉

SumOne
The strings not lining up across the middle of their individual round pickup circles would annoy me more.

As it is just the name of the finish, why not just call it "Metal Flake Green Finish"? No need for the clown and his/her vomit 🙂

What would you call it? Checked the urban dictionary for the meaning of "clown vomit". It seems to mean "A term used to describe the result of a corruption in video games where the backgrounds, pixels, and graphics mesh together in a chaotic cacophony of colors, often resembling the theoretical colorful vomit from a clown." There you go, chaotic cacophony of colours. So definitely not green only. Definitely a fake finish 😉

Maude
You're more likely to see a clown vomit sparkly green than see any sea foam that is a lovely mint green, rather than the sludgey pale brown it actually is.
drTStingray
Messrs Musicman clearly missed a trick when they named this rare and somewhat infamous colour aherm….. trans green.
