Hi all,

Do markbass do any amps with a bit of drive on them?

I had a lm3 years ago, but can only remember it being clean, although that may have been due to the type of music I was playing?

The Little Mark Tube has drive on it but to be honest it’s so little you probably wouldn’t notice it as drive. It adds a “shimmer” and “life” to the sound that once it’s switched off the sound seems flat & lifeless, but proper drive it isn’t. It is great tho.

Cheers I was looking at those. It doesnt need to be a full on drive etc, just the option to add a bit of Valvey break up.

I looked at the stu hamm model, that seems great, but I cant find a uk supplier.

I use a Tube 800 and I love it but I would agree it doesn't do much breakup or drive. The tube does add a little 'warmth' but I generally use pedals to get actual grit or drive

Wasn't the 'Big Bang' mean to have a more driven sound, hence the name? Never used one myself however....

No, I think the Big Bang was named ironically as it's effectively a LM3 (same preamp/EQ and power amp) in a smaller package.
