Series 6 Trace Gear, Cabs and Combos

I'm off to pick up a Series 6 7215 combo this week, and I understand it will accept an extension cab. Am I on the right track thinking an 1153 cab will be an appropriate mate for it, size and tuning-wise?

Yup, the 1153 in ‘landscape’ is the same width as the 7215:

I gigged up and down the country with an 1153 cab. Often it was augmented with a 2103h (2x10”) -both in landscape, but for the gigs when it was a choice between the 2 cabs I would always take the 1153

I have a TE 115 combo and 1153 extension cab. The 1153 has the same basic tone as the combo but with more extended lows (as you'd expect). The combo is great on its own with a surprisingly punchy tone. It's when you connect the 1153 you realise how much lower it's tuned.

Ran a Series 6 1210 combo with TE's smaller 15 years ago. It was a solid sound.
