ednaplate
If that is the case he is stuck with it. Maybe having it professionally refitted would make it more appealing.

warwickhunt
'Quell surprise'... it's back again and the seller is warning others of some nasty buyer who either didn't pay or returned the item; can't understand why! Paul Cooke
I'm sure I saw a thread in here about that same bass last time it came up on eBay some 18 months ago... the photos look strangely familiar...
xilddx
I've asked a question, see what s/he comes back with .. Hello mate, Probably unwelcome, but some friendly advice from a fellow W lover may be needed if you want to shift this. Get it professionally refretted, the Bass Gallery in Camden would do it for around a ton twenty. http://www.thebassgallery.com/workshop.html The market is much bigger for fretted basses, and that is the worst defret job I think I've seen. Sorry if this is not what you want to hear and I hope you take this in the spirit in which it's intended. Good luck. Cheers.

Dubs
To be fair to the guy, he's put enough clear pictures up for anyone who knows what they're looking at to make a fairly good judgement of the quality of the de-fret, and his BIN price is lower than what a fretted FNA of the same condition would probably go for - I'm not defending that de-fret job though

lemmywinks
I saw an FNA corvette go for £276 a while back and a mint Proline recently went for £410. Also a really nice Fortress went for £390 the other week. Personally i wouldn't pay over £250 for this, but then i am tight as a nun's proverbial. Also he describes the de-fret as "a fairly professional job as far as i can tell"
Rich
What he failed to add after "a fairly professional job as far as i can tell" was "assuming it was done by a insane chimp with uncontrollable muscle spasms and hand-eye coordination problems, using a selection of blunt kitchen utensils".
