Original hardback ‘the bass book’ in glorious, gas-inducing technicolour. 
 

gawp at old (mostly now dead) peoples instruments and imagine how much better you’d sound if you’d had their kit, or (and this is my favourite) curse yourself for selling the very instruments pictured before you.
