xverminate2
Hi all, I've recently got the bat out of it's case, not used it since 2017 and still in tune. Anyway, this week I found a stand on Amazon. It's very sturdy, well made and fits the B2a perfect. It's advertised as a Uke/Violin stand and cost £12 free postage. Absolutely made up, I've been looking for a stand off and on since the 80s Pics attached
SpondonBassed
That's smashing! (Especially if you get the giant slipper included as I happen to have an enormous left foot.) Edited December 6, 2021 by SpondonBassed
Reggaebass
That’s cool, I had to bend the bottom of my Hercules one in to fit because I couldn’t find one, I’ll get one of those 👍

The slipper was a good idea. I'm just looking for cheap laughs. Thanks for the heads up. I have two paddle basses myself. Richard R
No idea why this is in introductions, but everyone is welcome, even those with big feet. And you know what the women say about men with big feet 😉
Geek99
That they need big socks ?
LeftyJ
That's brilliant! I kept my B2A in a rack, where it sat awkwardly with the body on just one of the lower tubes and resting on its tuning machines. I hated it! I sold it just over a year ago, or I would have gotten one of these stands. Looks great!
Stub Mandrel
You know what they say about men with big feet... ... small basses. But seriously, I've always just put my B2 down on its feet and leant it back against something. One of those might be worth getting, but I think I'd open up the arms, so it didn't rest on the tuners.

Stub Mandrel
There is a 'Steinberger specific' one out there, plastered with warnings that it won't fit wooden-necked basses (including Steinberger ones). Do they have dooty necks?

I tried to get one of those but it seemed they were only available in the US , and at the time they were out of stock, the neck on mine hasn’t moved, it keeps it’s tuning really good

This would be more useful for my 6-string non-cricket-bat headless which has the tuners protruding beyond the end of the body except that there's only room for four tuners (the 6-string sits happily on a normal cradle) or the MihaDo wing bass except that the neck rest wouldn't work, and my cricket bat bass is a B2VA 5-string so again there's not enough room for the tuners. At some point, I will perfect a modification to the Hercules wall hanger to enable headless basses to be used with it.
Stub Mandrel
A simple wall hanger could just have a keyhole slot or v-notch for the neck strap button.
