CookPassBabtridge Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 I really like the sound of my passive basses running into a Sansamp, so have no real use for the preamp on a standard amp head when using a cab. I could run it into a power amp, but I also like practicing at home to backing tracks and headphones...which means I'd need an aux and headphone input. I know I can just get a standard amp head and go through the effects return, but was wondering if such an amp exists that will cover all the bases above in a single unit? I.e. something similar to a power amp that has an aux and headphone input. Close examples are the GR Pure Amp or Quilter Bass Block, but the former has no aux or headphone input and the latter no aux. Does anyone know if such an amp exists? Quote
Bill Fitzmaurice Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 Try plugging your headphones directly into the SansAmp. You 'll need a stereo to mono converter plug to get it in both ears. 1 Quote

Ah the VT 500w looks awesome but it seems as though it’s discontinued! Plus I’m not sure how I’d get the backing tracks to play through it. Certainly solves the Sansamp/power amp into a single unit conundrum though! Quote
Downunderwonder Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 If I need backing tracks I play them through cans quietly and the bass quietly through the amp. It all hits my ears mixed just fine. Quote
