Toddy Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 I know, there isn't one, but having seen the success of the Coventry Music Museum recently, Occurred to me it would be a great hands on idea, Appreciate we have virus issues etc, but in principle, a home for all the prototypes, even famous basses, amps, stories, players, even a meeting place for product launces (The National Motorcycle Museum is brilliant for that kind of stuff as an example ) meet ups and talks, Just a dream, but any thoughts?? Doctor J Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 I would keep stealing the B from the sign. So would all of you. 16 Quote
Machines Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 Drive towards Burton Upon Trent from Lichfield on the A38. There is a sign that says Bass Museum. Alas for the brewery... 2 Quote
Nail Soup Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 I can imagine that if it did exist now it would be as an afterthought side room of a National Guitar Museum 🙄. 2 Quote
Mykesbass Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 How many basses have National made? Still, the idea could 'resonate' with some... 1 Quote
uk_lefty Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 Almost nobody would go to it. Sad but true. We are but a niche. There are members here who could just open up their music rooms and show you something more of interest..... BC "through the keyhole" anyone? 2 Quote
BigRedX Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 Just for UK made basses then? None of that Fender nonsense? Quote

Dood Posted December 8, 2021 Posted December 8, 2021 I've a document somewhere that is a list of all the bass gear I've ever owned. The contents would fill a small museum I am sure. It's scary to think where this obsession has led me! (Other than having the pleasure of geeking out in three major bass mags each month lol) Quote
