Spotify funding weapons development

The thread title is innacurate. The man who founded and runs Spotify is investing his own funds into a company that provides, among other things, services to miltary customers.

Spotify the company has nothing to do with this. Good luck when their lawyers catch up with you.

You never saw Terminator?

But seriously, I don't know anyone that wants autonomous weapons flying/running/crawlingaround shooting at whatever they 'feel' like.

I think there’s more to it than that - and I’m sure we’ll all benefit from the trickle down to consumer goods. I’m all for it! Smarter more efficient weapons and targeting sounds like the way forward if you ask me 👍🏼 A 3000lb bomb that keeps telling you to listen to that band you hate until it takes your face off

Don’t want to invest in military weapons?

So no DSLR cameras, microwave ovens, cellphones, GPS (and satellite navigation), drones, the epi pen, duct tape and superglue, jet engines, portable radio, internet, night vision, blah blah…

Investing in the the military and weapons is what has pushed technology into the commercial sector - some of these technologies would arguably have never come to exist without such investments.

Pretty much every advance in technology has been driven by investment in military research and the adult entertainment industry.
Sex and violence have got us to the point we are today. Make of that what you will.

They may not go bang, but they guide the thing that go bang, they enable detection of the things that you want to bang up with the thing that goes bang, they enable things to go bang without taking out your own people etc etc
