Boodang
Came across this interesting article chronicling the history of the Acoustic 360 and bass amps in general around that time (1967'69). https://www.newcutstudios.co.uk/a-big-acoustic-tower Starts with a bit about Nick Lowe electrocuting himself at the Marquee club, going on to talk about Jaco's use of Acoustic amps and where Acoustic amp development went from there. Anybody still use a 360?! 4
Mykesbass
Pretty sure @Chimike did/does. Are you still on here Mike?
NikNik
I had one, circa 1982 until 1984 when I finally got my coveted Trace rig!
Dazm66
Used to use one in a studio in Hackney in the late eighties. It had a lovely warm tone but all I wanted at the time was a Trace!
stewblack
What a great article. Proper bassist geek out. Thank you for sharing.
Boodang
The guy at New Cut Studios really knows his stuff and what could have been a dry article is actually quite entertaining. Trouble is I now fancy an AMP BH-420 as a result of reading it... more GaS!! I did see one for sale which is supposed to have been the one Jaco was given by the company. As you can imagine, quite expensive, but then maybe it still has some of Jaco's mojo in it!!
uk_lefty
There was an Acoustic amp and cabs advertised on Facebook last week for about £650, I don't know much about these but I thought it seemed like a great deal

For mojo, read over 40 year old sweat and finger dirt / grease. Bleugh !

stereoplayer
I don’t have a 360…I just have this lowly 371 system. 370+301… 😔😋

Fabulous sound! The updated and more powerful version of the 360. Fearsomely loud with two cabinets (400 watts) - could drown the entire band!!! 😂 Edited January 1, 2022 by drTStingray
