And I'd be reluctant to buy anything where a non-standard pickup shape greatly restricts replacement options if they don't sound to your taste.

That can be the trouble with photos.   Fill flash, no flash,  strange natural lighting , flourescant bulbs ...it goes on,   so yeah, its hard to tell sometimes what the true colour is
