rogo
Hi, as the title suggests there’s a slightly ragged looking (but alright sounding) Line 6 amp in my local guitar shop. It’s a whopping 150 watt combo for a real steal at 100 quid, and it’s certainly quite the upgrade over my vox pathfinder 10 watt I have at the moment. Is it worth it? Does anyone have any experience with these amps? cheers
Saturnalia
Hi there I have one of these with foot pedal - heavy but loud - bought for £50 quid on gumtree - now surplus to requirements - yours for what I paid for it. Cheers Steve
Phil Starr
Go for the £50 one, this sort of thing does go for around £100 sort of price, I recently sold my Hartke Kickback for £100 in pristine condition but £50 you can sell it on again for no loss every day of the week once you've had it a couple of years. It's going to be so much better than what you have you won't want to put your bass down once you plug in. that's a really generous offer.
pete.young
If it all works, offer them 50 quid to give the sales floor space back and maybe settle for 70 if you really need it. 100 quid isn't a great bargain, the original asking price of 140 is cloud cuckoo land. uk_lefty
I used one in a music shop when they first came about. The main gimmick being the onboard effects. Unfortunately those effects were almost completely unusable. The speaker and general sound wasn't impressive either. But for just having something to make a bass louder you could do worse at that price.
binky_bass
I concur with everyone else... £100 isn't a steal, these aren't great amps. For £100 I'm pretty sure you can find something else in the for sale section that's better. Or an old Trace Elliot combo from eBay... skidder652003
pants amps, don't waste your money. Get an old Peavey TNT or Trace Elliot would be even better if you can find one. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/3677082332416730/?ref=search&referral_code=marketplace_search&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A2c71e752-e340-4fc7-8303-a6958bf2a987 https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/571877463879090/?ref=search&referral_code=marketplace_search&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A2c71e752-e340-4fc7-8303-a6958bf2a987 Edited December 22, 2021 by skidder652003
Crawford13
I haven't played that particular amp, but I have had the studio 110 for probably near 18 years and as a practice amp I love it. It's a shame there's not more love of these amps, the RnB and Clean sounds are good, and the onboard optical compressor is also pretty good.
Dan Dare
I'd say £100 is twice what it's worth. I sold a mint Studio 110 a couple of years back on the 'Bay and got around £30 for it. Offer them £50 in January when business is slow if you're still keen.

I had the 110 for a while, great little practice/demo amp, plenty of grunt and, if used well, the models weren't bad either. Very useful DI output too. Use the 400w 2x10 combo too. Just wasn't loud enough.
