Clarky
One pickup version (bridge) but I bet it doesn't hang around https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Wal_MKII_4_Fretless.html Edited December 17, 2021 by Clarky
franzbassist
Incredibly rare model. I had the same configuration in both Mk I and Pro basses but have never seen a Mk II version. Not a bad weight, and subtle lines with dots on the "fret" too - best of both worlds? Edited December 17, 2021 by franzbassist
Hellzero
Lovely ! And not (that) overpriced.

Woodwind
That's great. I love the look of the one pick-up Wals. I missed the posting before it went in hold. what was it priced at?
Clarky
£4500, if memory serves me correctly (yes, its only a couple of days but festive alcohol was consumed last night!)
Woodwind
Just now, Clarky said: £4500, if memory serves me correctly (yes, its only a couple of days but festive alcohol was consumed last night!) Cheers Clarky. Considering that's being purchased from a shop that doesn't sound too bad.
franzbassist
Yes it was £4.5k… Clarky’s brain isn’t pickled yet! 🤣 I think the unusual configuration kept the price down. 1
Piers_Williamson
It's pretty unusual for a bass to still be being discussed after it has been sold, albeit a few here sound they think it was a (£4.5k) bargain. Does anyone know what the most talked about (post-sale) bass has been (and, as a leftie, please don't talk about Macca's Yamaha!)?

I had one for a while. Passive single pickup basses that still sound fab. Edited December 19, 2021 by franzbassist
itu
Hey, the bass is sold. @ped please, lock this thread. (Where's my coat...)
ddsparx
Aww heck. And I had just put some clean knickers on too. Damn.
Chris2112
When the pickup is by the bridge, I can make do...!
NickA
Bargain of sorts. Bloke in the states just coughed up $11900, plus import duty, for a MK2 off ebay Madness. One pickup is likely all you need for the classic Wal sound, but I use the neck pickup more and more on mine. The subject of this thread is also weird in that it's solid walnut, not the usual mahogany plus fancy face wood.
